Level: N/A Affiliation/Rank: N/A Preferred Prey: N/A History: As is the usual case with nymphs, Lara's first experience of the Autumn World came when she turned 18 years old. At first she missed the idyllic Dreaming keenly, and felt lost and alone in The Autumn world. This was eased somewhat when, purely by chance, she met up with Maia, a Wood Nymph with whom she'd been friends as a child, who had already been on the outside a couple of years, that took her in and helped her adjust to life outside enough that she could cope on her own. She set out in search of a worthy man. The problem was, she had a tough time finding him. For one reason or another, none perfectly matched up to the standard she envisioned. She wasn't looking for just any man, after all - she was looking for the man with the right combination of traits she wanted her child to have. She finally found him nine months ago, a marine on shore leave. Their affair soon resulted in the pregnancy she needed to return home to The Dreaming, and it seemed perfect because he was soon re-deployed, leaving her alone with her baby. It never even occurred to her that the baby might not be a girl. However, intrigued by the idea of seeing her baby whilst it still floated within the waters of her womb, she went to have an ultrasound, and that's when she found out that her baby was a boy. And because his father had redeployed there was no-one she could leave him with. At first, she sought out people wishing to adopt in both the human and faerie realms, but none of them seemed perfect to entrust her baby into the care of, in fact, some of them seemed downright scary. All the while, she grew more and more attached to her son. Eventually, Lara went back to her collective, and begged the elders for clemency, to allow her to raise her boy among the nymphs, but after much debate, the ruling was unanimous. A boy growing up among the nymphs would be unacceptable. She could either leave him to be raised by other people, or she could raise him herself - but only outside of the collective. As she had already investigated her options, and found none of them to her liking, she decided to leave the collective and raise her son among humans. A friend of hers, an ex-co-worker, has recently opened up a Day Spa on the banks of Devil's Lake near Mysteria, so Lara's hoping to beg a job there once she's popped, which would be ideal for Lara as the Spa would have a built in crèche for women to leave their kids with whilst being pampered, so she'd never have to be far from her son. Flaws: Emotional - She is deeply emotional, feeling them to extremes, she's a stranger to neither deep sadness nor elated happiness. Mercurial - Her mood is given to change at any given moment, serene, stormy, playful... one minute she's giggling, the next she can be in tears. Impulsive - She doesn't always think things through properly before acting, which is how she got into her current mess. Perfectionist - She likes things to be just so, and if they aren't, she'll not settle until she finds a situation to her liking. Merits: Loyalty - Earn her loyalty and you'll have it for life.
